The iPhone 12 Pro Max is Apple’s largest iPhone to date, with a 6.7-inch display that boasts a camera system that our reviewer called “one of the most trusted cameras for smartphones.” In its latest breakup, iFixit shows how big this impressive camera actually is compared to other iPhones.
The primary wide-angle sensor “overshadows the iPhone 12’s sensor,” says iFixit, which is about 47% larger. But it has the same 12 MP resolution as the smaller model. The image stabilization system with 12 Pro Max sensor shift – found on most DSLR cameras – adds bulk to the large main camera, iFixit has found.
The L-shaped battery of the 12 Pro Max is the largest among all current iPhone models, weighing 14.13Wh, compared to 8.57Wh in mini and 10.78 Wh in 12 and 12 Pro. But iFixit notes that it’s actually slightly smaller than the 15.04Wh package found in the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max – the most expensive iPhone on the market right now, starting at $ 1,099 – “is probably Apple’s best iPhone-related achievement this year,” says iFixit. The device adds “demanding 5G technology without obvious compromises with other components.” See here the complete disintegration of iFixit’s iPhone 12 Pro Max.
