Apex Legends Season 9 launched with a more enthusiastic response from players – but Respawn’s developer servers weren’t just ready for how they would be enthusiastic. Since the release of the season earlier today, players have faced a number of problems with Apex Legends due to overcrowded infrastructure, including extreme difficulties in entering matches.
Respawn shares all of its progress in making all-day fixes on Twitter today, but has yet to completely crush the issues plaguing its servers. In his latest tweet, Respawn said unlocked characters and market services should be normalized soon. In addition, some players are increasingly successful in joining matches, but problems seem to continue to exist for others.
Season 9, titled Legacy, brings with it many changes and additions, most notably a permanent team team mode called Arenas and a compound weapon with a bow. The patch from season 9 also reworks the character of Lifeline. For a full list of changes, see the Apex Legends Season 9 patch notes.
