Touch Tower explains that the Mario Kart Tour has accumulated 123.9 million unique downloads in the App Store and Google Play in its first month. This makes Nintendo the most successful mobile gaming startup so far in terms of downloads. Super Mario Run saw 21.8 million downloads in its first month, followed closely by Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp at 19.1 million.
In terms of revenue, the Mario Kart Tour has generated $ 37.4 million in player spend so far. This makes the Mario Kart Tour the second most successful mobile game for Nintendo, with $ 67.6 million collected from Fire Emblem Heroes in its first month.
This comes to an average of $ 0.26 spent per player:
The Mario Kart Tour is far less in terms of download revenue, with an average of $ 0.26 spent per player – a slight improvement over $ 0.19 per Dr. Mario World, while Dragalia Lost is an impressive $ 16.50 per player in its first month, but has yet to fight. While the Mario Kart Tour was a success for Nintendo, Pokémon GO still has a clear lead. The Niantic game was downloaded 163 million downloads in the first 30 days – and it was limited to three countries at launch, compared to the global launch of the Mario Kart Tour.
