The mystery of the mysterious new door to the remake of Demon’s Soul has been solved • Eurogamer.net

Shortly after the arrival of the PS5 developer’s Demon’s Souls remake, players discovered a mysterious new addition not found in the main action-RPG from From Software 2009: a firmly locked door where it has never been before. But now, after a quick communal thought, the puzzle is cracked, the door is open and its secrets are revealed.

But first a brief summary of those who were late behind; players stationed at the mysterious new door of Demon’s Souls in World 1-3 curled up at the top of a staircase hidden behind an illusory wall ̵

After several research failures, the community is adhering to the theory that a permanently locked door may be related to an item recently introduced in Demon’s Souls PS5 – the Gold Coin. It seemed particularly plausible, given that Bluepoint developer’s previous remake, Shadow of Colossus, also included a secret door requiring coins to be unlocked.

By the way, spoilers will run freely from here on out, so those who have just jumped on the Demon’s Souls PS5 train may want to stop reading now.

As it turned out, the theory of gold coins was almost right; in fact – as revealed by Speed Runner Distortion 2 yesterday, after hours of exploratory drilling – players should instead collect a different new collector coin, a ceramic coin found only by playing through Demon’s Souls’ new mirror fracture style, unlocked from completing the game once.

Ceramic coins can obviously be found near Archstone in fracture mode, but only with a pure white or pure black global trend, making them something of a rare commodity. However, players who manage to get at least 26 ceramic coins can hand them to Sparkly the Crow in the Shrine of Storms, after which they will receive a Rusty Key – finally providing a passage through the mysterious door of Demon’s Souls.

And what is the reward for these efforts? Well, like Dormin’s secret sword in the Shadow of the Colossus, the treasure waiting for players behind the door of the demon’s souls is exquisitelyand not something particularly revealing. Those who cross its threshold can acquire the Penetrator armor, inspired by the eponymous boss of Demon’s Souls, who pairs with the Penetrator Sword, presented in the original game, to complete the whole sharp look.

Does this discovery mean that the secrets of Demon’s Souls PS5 have already been revealed? Only time and dedication to the energetic community of the game will show.
