The North Dakota Ministry of Health says they are sending an emergency preparedness and response team to Washington as a measles epidemic.
The state has already confirmed 36 cases and 12 suspected cases in two counties. Of these cases, 25 patients were between 1 and 10. The health department said about the 36 cases, 32 of the patients were not immunized, and the other four were not tested.
Governor Jay Inslee announced a state of emergency on January 25th.
