CHARISBURG (KDKA) – Governor Tom Wolfe says it is now more important than ever to follow the coronavirus mitigation orders that apply when cases arise.
“The fall in cases of falls is something we expected and we were prepared for and learned a lot from in the spring, but as I have said many times, the virus goes where it wants, we must do everything possible to prevent it, turn it off and protect yourself. our loved ones, our communities and our health systems, ”Governor Wolf said in a statement
“Current efforts and mitigation orders are more important than ever. We must unite against COVID and follow these orders. “
Not only the number of cases jumps in Pennsylvania, but also the percentage of people who test positive. The percentage of positivity for the state in the last week is 9.6%, compared to 6.9% the previous week. Sixty-two of the 67 counties have positivity levels above 5%, including Allegheni County, which is 7.7%.
Current mitigation efforts in Pennsylvania include mandatory masks, business employment restrictions, teleworking where possible, and collection of restrictions.
