The outbreak of measles rises to 23 confirmed cases in Clark Co.; PDX Again Place of Exposure News



CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) – Portland International Airport has been identified as the venue for the second time during a measles outbreak in Clark County. measles, with two additional supposed cases.

The confirmed cases include 18 children aged 10 years or younger, four children aged between 11 and 18 and one adult between 19 and 29 years of age. include people who have not been immunized. The other three cases have unconfirmed immunization status

Four new exposure sites were identified by health officials on Tuesday, including PDX. The airport was first exposed between 1

0:45 and 15:45. January 7, particularly near Concourse D and Delta Sky Lounge during this time period.

The last airport exposure was on January 15th.

• Kaiser Cascade Park Medical Office, 12607 SE Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver from 12:30 to 19:30 . Saturday, January 19th.

• Dollar Tree, 7809-B Vancouver Plaza Drive, Vancouver from 6:30 to 21:10. Tuesday, January 15th.

• Portland International Airport, luggage claim and southern end of ticket counter (near Alaska Airlines and Starbucks), 7000 N.E. Airport Way, Portland from 7:30 to 11:00. Tuesday, January 15th.

• Costco, 4849 N.E. 138th Avenue, Portland from 5:30 to 8:40 am Wednesday, January 16th.

Clark County Public Health requires exclusion of students and staff without documented immunity to measles only from those schools identified as possible sites of exposure. Pupils and staff excluded from these identified schools are also excluded from other schools, kindergartens and other common areas.
