Raspberry Pi announced the launch of its first microcontroller product on Thursday. The $ 4 Raspberry Pi Pico is powered by a new chip developed by the company. The 7x7mm chip has 40nm silicon with a dual core Arm Cortex-M0 processor.

The Raspberry Pi has sold over 37 million products to date. His mini computers only cost $ 35, but sometimes need to be paired with a microcontroller. So far, the Raspberry Pi had not developed its own.
