Borat returns to a screen near you – and the name of Vice President Mike Pence seems to be used in the title.
Actor Sacha Baron Cohen returns as the controversial character he played in the 2006 film Borat! America’s cultural knowledge to take advantage of Kazakhstan’s glorious nation. “The original film, written and produced by Cohen, follows the title character, a Kazakh television personality, as he explores America.
Amazon plans to release the film before the 2020 presidential election.
The streaming giant confirmed on Tuesday that it has acquired worldwide rights to the film. It is reportedly titled: “Borat: A Gift of a Pornographic Monkey to Deputy Prime Minister Michael Pence to Take Advantage of Kazakhstan̵

Reports on the project are constantly piling up over the summer as it was filmed in secret during the pandemic.

Cohen created the character of Borat Sagdiev, a fictional Kazakh journalist, in his series “Da Ali G Show”.
The 2006 film, directed by Larry Charles, grossed $ 262 million worldwide and was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 79th Academy Awards.

Cohen eventually won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy in 2007.
