Ford already sells multiple versions of Mustang shells. But in case these don’t meet your Shelby needs, Shelby American has just announced the Carroll Shelby Signature Edition versions of the GT350, GT350R and GT500.
The company claims that the GT500 Carroll Shelby Signature Edition – or GT500SE – will make a horsepower “800 plus”, producing 40-hp. profit from the base car with 760 hp This is courtesy of a larger supercharger washer, improved cooling and half shafts. The suspension, swinging rods and wheel studs also receive updates to cope with the extra twist. On the outside you get a special ventilated carbon hood, Shelby stripes and badges and locks with a Shelby brand hood. A wide body kit is optional, while each GT500SE comes with updated seats and a dash commemorative plate.
Both the GT350SE and GT350RSe receive the same improvements without added power. Instead, they get new springs, swinging rods, plates and “tires for special features.” Cosmetically, the GT350SE comes with a badge, stripes and a new Shelby tail panel. The leather seats have been restored and the dash plate indicates the importance of your car. You will also be able to get a special carbon fiber hood and a wide body kit, but these are extras.
These special editions are not cheap and will not be ordinary landmarks. The GT350 and GT350R upgrades cost $ 9,995 plus the donor vehicle and will be limited to 100 vehicles. The GT500SE package goes for $ 29,995 plus the GT500, with the total price for the base GT500SE being just over $ 100,000. Only 100 will be made.
