Spotify adds a long-requested feature to its Premium Family plan, the ability to filter explicit content. The updated Spotify Premium family plan offers on-demand access to 450,000 podcast titles and more than 50 million ad-free music tracks.
On top of that, Spotify has announced that parents can now control the setting of the explicit content filter on all other accounts on their plan. The music streaming company has confirmed that the update is already available in Ireland and will hit all Premium Family markets this fall.
The Premium Spotify Family Plan provides six individual accounts for family members living under one roof, meaning you can save your own saved music and playlists.
Another new addition to the Premium Family Plan is the ability to manage Family settings in one place, including adding or removing family members by updating your home address and adjusting parental controls.
Also, families get exclusive access to a custom playlist that includes songs your other family members can enjoy. The feature is called Family Mix and is regularly updated to allow parents to control who is in each session.
If you are already a Premium Family user but you are not in Ireland, you will be notified as soon as the updated family plan is available in the coming months.
