The United States administers 72.8 million doses of vaccine against COVID-19: CDC

(Reuters) – The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it received 72,806,180 doses of COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday morning and distributed 96,402,290 doses.

The data are for the Moderna and Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines from 6 am on Saturday, the agency announced. Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines include two doses.

The CDC on Friday reported a total of 70,454,064 doses of vaccine administered and 94,300,91

0 doses distributed.

The agency said 48,435,536 people had received at least one dose of the vaccine as of Saturday, while 23,698,627 had received both doses.

A total of 7,043,540 doses of vaccine have been given in long-term care facilities, the agency said.
