Dealmaster: Get Disney + Year Free If You're a Verizon Wireless User

Ars Technica

Greetings, Arsians! The Dealmaster is back with another round of deals and a fall in prices. Today's list is headed by a quick PSA for those who subscribe to an unlimited Verizon data plan or plan to subscribe to an online Fios home plan: if you're at all interested in Disney +'s new streaming service, you can get 1

2- monthly subscription at no additional cost. As a refresher, Disney's Netflix competitor launches on Tuesday and typically costs $ 7 a month or $ 70 a year.

Now, as is often the case with mobile carrier promotions, there are some fine print files to handle. To get the free year of service, you must subscribe to one of Verizon Unlimited, Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Above Unlimited, Above Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Pay More Unlimited, Pay More Unlimited, or Run an Unlimited Plan. (If you're wondering the fact that Verizon had so many unlimited plans, many of which aren't really unlimited, you're not alone.) Both new and current subscribers are eligible; Verizon has options on its promo page for existing subscribers who wish to switch to an unlimited plan and those who wish to switch from another carrier.

The offer is also available to Verizon Fios home Internet users and a handful of people who can access their 5G Home plan, but only if you are a new subscriber, not if you have currently paid for any of these services. Fios users will need a stand-alone internet plan of at least 50/50 Mbps service, a two-year Triple Play package or a 2-year Internet + TV Double Play package. Anyway, all of this is to sign up for Disney + through Verizon, not Disney.

Some elements worth noting: it is possible to redeem the offer via the operator's network or mobile app and Verizon says the offer is not available to prepaid customers or business plans from any is kind. The email address you use to sign up for a promo with Verizon also cannot be used by an active Disney + account. If you are eligible for a free 12 months but have already purchased a Disney + subscription ahead of time, the carrier says its promotion will not replace your existing purchase; instead, this purchase will simply be paused and you can use it after the 12 months of this promotional offer have been used. (That said, we still advise you to keep track of your account and registered email address to make sure everything is managed properly.)

If you are both a Verizon Wireless and new Fios user, you can technically redeem the promotion twice with separate email addresses and receive two Disney + years, as Verizon treats the two services as different accounts, if you did not purchase an annual or multi-year Disney + subscription before redeeming the offer, Verizon will automatically renew your Disney + service at $ 7 per month after the promotional period has expired. And the carrier says the whole promotion will be available by June 1, 2020.

Did you understand all this? If you are not interested in Verizon or prefer to just wait for Disney + to sort through the myriad technical issues it has on launch, we also have Kindle Unlimited subscription deals, vacuum robots, USB USB chargers, gaming laptops and more.
