A man is facing charges in connection with Monday’s attack on the Asabet River railway in Marlborough. Police say 35-year-old John Parker ambushed a 40-year-old woman around 6:20 a.m. while walking down a railroad track near the intersection of Fitchburg Street and Sasseville Way. The victim said Parker grabbed her by the neck, pushed her to the ground by the shoulder of the aisle and tried to take off some of her clothes. “He was pushing me and trying to take off my pants,” the victim told NewsCenter 5. The woman told that she screamed, fought to defend herself, and managed to free herself from Parker, who then ran in the opposite direction to the intersection.
