There are still offers for smart lighting on Prime Day 2020: Save on Eero and Lutron

This story is part of Amazon Prime DayThe CNET guide for everything you need to know and how to make sure you get the best deal.

The sale of Prime Day on Amazon officially ended at midnight PT, but we are watching for there are still the best deals for Prime Day, including smart lighting deals.

If the thought of upgrading to smart lights that you can automate and adjust tempts you, then they Prime Day prices still available can seal the deal. Here are the best deals happening now ̵

1; check back for updates as we see more:

Eero is Amazon’s brand on the front of the network and has a new network router that goes on sale this fall with full support for Wi-Fi 6, the latest and most advanced version of Wi-Fi. This system, the Eero 6, is out by November 2, but if you’re ready to pre-order a 3-piece setup during Prime Day, Amazon’s regular retail price of $ 279, Amazon will offer a free Echo Dot smart speaker and two free bulbs Philips Hue to sweeten the deal.

This is a nice little setting out there because the new Eero router has a built-in Zigbee radio that can pair these bulbs directly to your home’s Wi-Fi network without the need for a Philips Hue Bridge. This means that you will also be able to turn them on and off using Alexa voice commands, where this Echo Dot comes from.

Two reservations. although. First, you don’t get the new, spherical Echo Dot – instead, it’s the previous 2018 washer-shaped version. Second, these are Hue White Ambiance bulbs, not full-color Hue bulbs. This means that you can change their color temperature between yellowish, candle tones, and hotter, bluish-white tones in daylight, but you can’t make them emit red, green, blue, or anything else in the RGB spectrum. Still, a pretty good deal here. Read more about CNET.

Smart bulbs are great, but your sophisticated automations and voice controls won’t work if someone cuts off the power to the light switch. Enter the Lutron Aurora, a clever slightly darker dial that snaps into place at the top of the switch, locking it in the on position and preventing your rebellious children and unhappy hosts from turning things off. And after pairing with the bulbs, you can rotate the dial to dim them up and down, or touch the button to turn them on and off – without screwing up your precious automations.

We liked the Aurora when we tested it last year – now, for Prime Day, you can get it for a $ 30 or $ 10 discount. Read more about CNET.

Speaking of Hue, if you head to Best Buy today for some counterprogramming, you’ll find a package with Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus and a 1-meter extension strip for $ 60. That’s a total of 3 meters of intelligent color-changing light for $ 45 less than the package usually costs.

Just know that this is an older version of the Hue Lightstrip, so it doesn’t include Bluetooth support and can’t emit more than one color at a time. Still, if you have some cabinets on the back of the TV that could benefit from a nice pop with accents, it’s definitely worth giving up.

GE Lighting

GE Lighting makes a nice range of smart bulbs and smart lighting accessories, and several packages are on sale today for Prime members during Prime Day 2020.

One of the best grids is two color-changing light bulbs, a color-changing bar, a wireless remote control that can turn them off, dim up and down or change color, and a smart plug. Final price? About $ 86. That would be a pretty good deal if it was just the light strip and the plug.

The C by GE lamps use Bluetooth to send and receive their signals and can be paired directly with Google Assistant for extremely fast voice control. They also work with Alexa, but you need a bridge device to connect them to Amazon. Fortunately, that’s where this Wi-Fi smart plug comes in. As long as you turn it on and connect to your home network, it will act as a bridge device for your C from GE lights and allow you to connect to Alexa for easy voice control.

In any case, this is a nice little package and a perfect way to add a little pizza to the living room, playroom or children’s room. And if you don’t want the light strip or the remote, you can also win two light bulbs and a smart plug for $ 38.

GE Lighting

Already have some C lamps from GE and just want to add a smart plug to your setup at a cheap price? Amazon Prime members can add one to their cart for only $ 10 today.

Again, along with allowing you to automate lamps, coffee makers, or anything else you plug into it, GE Lighting’s Wi-Fi smart plug will act as a bridge to your C from GE Bluetooth lights, allowing them to connect to Alexa. And yes, it works with Google Assistant.

Wiz is a sparse little starter light that makes some surprisingly decent smart bulbs – decent enough that the parent company of Philips Hue Signify bought the brand last year and started selling the bulbs as “Philips Wiz Connected” LEDs. These versions precede the date you reconstruct, but they are just as stable and just as capable of connecting to Alexa or Google Assistant without the need for additional hub hardware. And if you buy them today at Best Buy, you’ll save a quick $ 8 out of 2 packs, reducing the price of a light bulb to just $ 10.

This intelligent dimmer switch from Leviton doubles as a living space for Alexa thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker. Use it to replace an old light switch and you will be able to control that light from your phone or with a voice command – including voice commands taken from the switch itself.

Whether this is a decent upgrade is up to you, but it makes sense for Alexa-hard-hards. At a first day price of $ 80, you save $ 20 from the normal retail price.

Cree is a mainstay of lighting (at least in Home Depot) and its smart bulbs at affordable prices have long been a quick and easy way to fill your home with a bright, adjustable with the ability to adjust the light. Now, for Prime Day, this deal is even better, as Cree has soft white smart bulbs marked at 75% – only $ 3 per bulb.

Just keep in mind that Cree’s smart bulbs use Zigbee radios to send their signals, so you’ll need a Zigbee hub to automate them. Amazon Echo Plus, the second generation Amazon Echo Show, Wink Hub and SmartThings Hub will work, among other options.

Meanwhile, regular, unconnected Cree LED bulbs are also sold for Prime Day, with discounts of up to 40%. Read more about CNET.
