Dance competition was killed in a car crash in Texas, authorities said in Texas.
The Texas Public Safety Department said Michael Williams and his sisters, 17-year-old Tiffany Williams and 12-year-old Peyton Mackenzie Irwin, 19, were killed in a crash Friday in central Texas, according to the correspondent of NBC KXAN. They traveled to San Antonio to watch a brother compete at a national dance contest when the crash occurred in Central Texas.
The brothers and sisters were in the sixth, eighth and 11th grades. Irvine graduated from Huntsville High School last year.
"The death of every young person, much less four, is a loss that, in one way or another, affects us all," the district said. Transportation said the four were killed when a pickup truck Ford "failed to control its speed" and was thrown into the Toyota Corolla family, according to KXAN.
It is not clear whether the truck driver was arrested.
