In a recent Earl Enterprises report, a number of their restaurants have been hit by a credit card breach and this includes all three Disney Springs restaurants. Potentially affected restaurants include the following brands: Buca di Beppo, Earl of Sandwich Planet Hollywood Chicken Guy! Mixology and Tequila Taqueria. Since then, the restaurant group has launched an internal investigation and has engaged two leading cyber-security companies. As part of the investigation, they have been in contact with federal law enforcement officials and cooperate with them.
Based on the investigation, it appears that unauthorized individuals have installed malware in some systems for selling a certain number of Earl Enterprises' restaurants. Malware has been developed to capture payment card details that could include credit and debit card numbers, leakage dates, and in some cases cardholder names. Online orders paid online via third-party apps or platforms were not affected by this incident.
Earl Enterprises invites guests who have eaten at these restaurants to look carefully at their credit and debit card statements. as much as possible for suspicious charges or unrecognized activity.
