Tiger Woods car after an accident
Golf superstar Tiger Woods was in surgery on Tuesday after suffering multiple leg injuries when a jeep he was driving crashed and overturned in Los Angeles, authorities and his agent said.
Woods, who was the only person in the vehicle, was “retrieved from the wreckage with the jaws of life by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries,”
Deputies arrived at the crash site on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes around 7:12 p.m. PT, the department said.
Officials said “the vehicle suffered severe damage”.
Woods agent Mark Steinberg told Golf Digest in a statement: “Tiger Woods had a car accident this morning in California, where he received multiple leg injuries.”
“He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support,” Steinberg said.

The 45-year-old Woods has won 82 titles in the PGA, which equals Sam Sneed for the most titles ever. He has won 15 major championships, including the Masters tournament five times.
Woods’ stellar career was shaken in November 2009 when he crashed early into a jeep in a fire hydrant in front of his then-residence in Windermere, Florida.
Woods fainted in the crash for more than five minutes, and his then-wife used a golf club to smash a window in the vehicle and pull it out.
Woods was seen on social media Monday at a golf course with former Miami Heath basketball star Dwayne Wade.
Woods last competed at the PNC Championships in Orlando, Florida, which ended on December 20th. He played with his son, 11-year-old son Charlie Woods, in the tournament. The duo finished seventh.
