The San Diego Comic-Con 2019 has entered Day 3, and the great highlight of today is likely to be what we learn about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even that aside, there are still more news and trailers coming in, especially from Star Trek, which has revealed new details about upcoming Short Treks, Discovery Season 3, Lower Decks, and Picard, including the first trailers. Day 2 gave us plenty, such as the announcement of two new Halloween movies and the surprise release of Veronica Mars Season 4 (which was not expected for another week)
The Marvel Studios panel is getting underway at the time of this writing, and we could be getting major MCU news. Nightvision cameras can be seen in Hall H, which probably means that footage will be shown that is not released online ̵
The Witcher panel brought with it's the first clips, and now the first trailer has made its way online. On The Walking Dead Side, we got a ton of news, including the fact that Rick Grimes-starring movies are coming to the theaters.
The Rick and Morty panel brought us the first Season 4 clip. That's a new character played by Thor Ragnarok director Taika Waititi and has been released online. The second clip, shown in animated form, was also shown to the crowd; we have details on that and other tidbits from the panel in our story
One of the big panels of the weekend focused on many of the upcoming Marvel video games; the panel brought details on not just Marvel's Avengers (including more on the game's structure and Kamala Khan's presence) but also about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3's upcoming free and paid DLC characters. The Other Marvel news included some revelations from the writers of Endgame, like how Thanos could have decapitated Captain America at one point
The Terminator: Dark Fate panel was among the early ones on Thursday, and we've already learned that the movie is bringing Terminator 2's John Connor, Edward Furlong, and that it will be rated R. Not long after that, Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance to debut the Top Gun Maverick trailer
The Scarediego event brought with it a fresh look at It: Chapter 2, including exclusive clips and a trailer. The Trailer

- 11:30 AM PT – Star Trek
- The trailer has now premiered online and is unsettling as you would expect. 1:15 PM PT – Supergirl
- 5:15 PM PT – Marvel Studios
- 5:45 PM PT – Arrow
- 4:15 PM PT – Westworld
- – The Flash
- 7 PM PT – DC Universe
Another piece of great news to emerge is that the Game of Thrones Comic-Con panel will not feature the showrunners. David Benioff and DB Weiss had been announced to be among the panel's attendees, but the two (along with a few actors and a director) have dropped out. That's still a variety of cast members to show up, but Benioff and Weiss's original inclusion was a surprise, given the negative reaction that the show's final season received.
Marvel makes his triumphant return to the show in 2019, and studio will more than likely reveal what's going on with Phase 4 of the MCU. (Now, we've learned through a report that Taika Waititi will direct Thor 4.) On the TV side, Agents of SHIELD is ending after Season 7. The news emerged not long before the show's panel at SDCC
But even without a certainty on the Marvel Cinematic Universe front, there's a ton to look forward to across TV, movies and games, including more on Westworld, The Witcher, and Marvel's Avengers game. Rick and Morty will also have a panel ahead of his much-anticipated Season 4 debuting later this year, and the first images from Season 4 were released this week in anticipation of the SDCC
Aside from the convention itself, San Diego's Gaslamp district Transforms for the event, so while the hall and panel rooms hold most of the attractions, the entire downtown area is dressed to the nines.
