The current crown winner for October is Sony's superhero picture Venom which debuted to $ 80.2 million last year, not adjusted for inflation.
Joker has been tracking for the first time in the last week. Surveys this week, released on Thursday, show no dramatic change in either direction as Warners pays for its latest marketing boost. Tracking is far from being an exact science and has disappeared this year, especially with respect to certain titles.
New titles in the follow-up include the science fiction epic by Ang Lee The Twins Man starring Will Smith. NRG's early estimates show that the science-fiction epic debuted internally at $ 29 million, ahead of Lee's life The Life of Pi ($ 22.5 million). The drawing opens on October 1
From Paramount and Skydance Media, Man Gemini uses innovative CG technology to create a younger Smith.  Lee's picture portrays Smith as an elite assassin who is haunted by a younger clone of himself, as well as stars Clive Owen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Benedict Wong. Lee uses what he learned from his 2016 experimental film Billy Lynn's Long Half-Walk in the creation of Man Bemini.
