President Donald Trump is expected to announce on Thursday that he will take enforcement action to add a citizenship issue to the census, according to an administration official.
Trump says he will hold a press conference in the afternoon to discuss his latest efforts to include the issue of citizenship as part of the census.
"The White House will host a very large and very important social media meeting today," said Trump . "I would have become a president without social media? Yes (probably)! Upon our closing, we will all go to the beautiful Rose Garden for a news conference on census and citizenship."
NBC News confirmed this at the press conference The president is expected to announce his executive action to add the issue.
Last week, Trump told reporters at the White House White House when he asked if he would issue an order: "We think we should do that." 1
The press conference scheduled for Thursday comes as two federal judges refused to allow the Justice Department to withdraw lawyers from a lawsuit on the Trump administration's plans to raise the issue of citizenship to the census form in 2020.  The administration is currently printing population census forms without the issue after the Supreme Court ruled that Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, did not provide an adequate reason why the matter was necessary.
Opponents said the issue was an attempt to reduce the number of responses in immigrant communities and reduce their power.
Meanwhile the press conference comes at the end of another event. this has attracted considerable attention in recent days, the presidential high-level meeting in the social media. Trump will host several right-wing Internet celebrities to "share how they have been affected by online bias," as Republicans have for several months pierced social media companies for what they see as unfair censorship of their online views.
