Democratic Parliament Speaker Hakim Jeffries (DN.Y.) warned on Sunday that President Donald Trump “may be in the criminal field of Twitter” but still has access to nuclear codes after a deadly siege by pro-Trump supporters of the US Capitol last week.
“The goal right now is to deal with the existential threat that Donald Trump currently poses,” Jeffries told NBC’s Meet the Press. “Every second, every minute, every hour that Donald Trump stays in office is a danger to the American people. You know, Donald Trump may be in Twitter̵
Twitter finally shut down Trump’s personal account, @realDonaldTrump, on Friday, arguing that its use posed an unacceptable risk of violence – two days after the uprising of his supporters in the Capitol. The social media giant also temporarily suspended the official account of the White House @POTUS.
