Trump and the Patriots coach have been friends for many years, and the president appointed Belichik to the 2018 Presidential Sports, Fitness and Nutrition Council. The NFL team and Belichik visited the White House after winning the 2017 Super Bowl, but declined to visit again after 2019 victory.
