Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor became a surprise scratch for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs after falling ill before the start. He was taken to a local hospital.
The chargers have provided up-to-date information on Taylor’s condition.
“Before he started, Tyrod Taylor had trouble breathing and was taken to the locker room for an evaluation. He was transported to the hospital shortly afterwards for further evaluation, “the team said. “Taylor (chest) has been discharged from the hospital ever since. His status for the match next Sunday will be determined later in the week. “
Coach Anthony Lynn said after the 23-20 loss in overtime of the bosses that Taylor will start when he is healthy. Quarterback Justin Herbert played well in Taylor’s place, making 22 of 33 assists for 311 yards, touchdowns and interceptions.
