NEW YORK (AP) – US health officials are again urging people to stop vaping until they understand why some people are suffering from serious respiratory illnesses.
Officials say they have identified 450 possible illnesses, including at least three deaths. , in 33 countries.
Health officials say that no discharge device, fluid or ingredient is associated with all diseases. Many of the victims – but not all – are people who have been vaping on THC, the chemical that gives marijuana high.
A week ago, US officials tied the number of 215 possible cases in 25 states. Health officials only list some of the lung diseases that a person has contracted within three months. Most are teenagers.
