Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is taking part in a virtual debate on the global economy, presented by the International Monetary Fund.
Powell will be joined by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, Irish Finance Minister Pashal Donoeu and Ngozi Okonjo-Iveala, Director General of the World Trade Organization.
The event will be moderated by Sarah Eisen of CNBC.
Powell and his Fed colleagues have recently been optimistic about the economy, although he has expressed concern about the uneven nature of the economic recovery. The Federal Reserve is committed to keeping its policy free until it reaches full and inclusive employment, along with inflation of around 2%.
