AMD through CES Official
As for the event itself, AMD is expected to present a number of announcements. No specific product is mentioned, but we can expect a few if AMD launches with high performance. The first and most obvious is the AMD Ryzen 5000 mobility composition codenamed Cézanne and Lucien. They will be based on Zen 3 and Zen 2 refresh the nuclear architecture and will bring faster performance in the mobility segment.
We can also expect AMD to introduce its next-generation Radeon RX 6700 family of the Radeon RX 6700 series, which will bring Navi 2X into the core segment and will be positioned directly against the RTX 3060 Ti and below. Like the RX 6800 series, we can expect the RX 6700 series to offer absolutely insane performance for a dollar. AMD will also announce support for Ryzen 5000 desktop processors codenamed Vermeer on 400 Series motherboards through the new and official AGESA firmware (188.8.131.52), which its partners are currently testing internally.
To sum up, last year the red team made several announcements that included the Ryzen 4000 processor line for the mobility segment, the high-end RX 5000 graphics processors for the mobility segment, the flagship Ryzen Threadripper 3990X HEDT processor, the Radeon RX 5600 desktop graphics The XT card also gave us the first teaser of the RDNA 2 GPUs, along with several roadmaps detailing their portfolio of CPUs and GPUs. All in all, this is an event that no one should miss if you are interested in high-performance computing, so stay tuned!
