This study states that ingesting coffee between half an hour and four hours before a meal can help suppress “acute energy intake,” also known as calorie intake. Another study published in the journal Obesity also showed how a moderate amount of coffee during the day can “effectively reduce energy intake during the next meal and throughout the day.”
