Many fans joked (or said half-jokingly) that no team seems to want to win the opening week on Saturday night Florida Week 0 against Miami in Orlando. Penalties, turnovers, and other faults worthy of face-flame had both teams trying to "pull defeat from the jaws of victory."
So whether you watched the game as a Florida fan, a Miami fan, or just a college football fan, it's understandable if you turned off your TV or changed the channel as soon as the game finally ended with a 24- 20 UF profit. Prior to the broadcast of ESPN, completed by Orlando, Kirk Herbstreit shared his thoughts on the game and how the two teams can move forward.
"Obviously it was a slop, but it's the first game of the year," Herbstreit said. "The good thing is that you go back and watch the movie, just as the teams will have a chance next week. You look at the tape and the really nice things you did and the really bad things you did and (you say) "now let's keep training and get ready for the rest of the year."
"Both teams can have great year. "
The big question, of course, is how big is one year. After Dan Mullen's team scored 1
