White House Announces Statement of Trump's Surprising Visit to Walter Reed

The White House released a statement from the Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington on Monday that the president's visit there over the weekend was a "routine" check.

The statement, made by Navy Commander Sean Conley, was released by White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham amid rumors about Trump's medical condition.

"Despite some speculation, the president has not had any chest pain, nor has he been evaluated or treated for urgent or acute problems," Conley wrote in the letter.

"In particular, he did not undergo specialized cardiac or neurological assessments."

The letter adds that the visit was "not recorded" because of uncertainty about the President's schedule.

On Saturday, Grisham said the visit was part of his annual check-up, which he pulled out early, but then revealed that he did not stay at Walter Reed National Medical Center for a long time. [1

Trump spent more than four hours in February at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for review, overseen by his doctor and involving a team of 11 specialists.
