Windows Update November 10, 2019 is now available as more than a service pack

Microsoft launches its latest Windows 10 November 2019 update on devices today. Although most of Microsoft's significant updates to Windows 10 are usually available with many new features, this one looks much more like the service packs you will find in previous versions of Windows. Most of the changes are minor and you won't see much of them as they are behind-the-scenes enhancements focused on stability, performance and more.

This does not mean that nothing has changed. The biggest changes can be found in the improvements Microsoft is making to notifications in Windows 10. This new update for November has a notification management button in the Notification Center (Action Center) that leads to better settings in the area where you can customize notifications, you will also be able to hover your mouse over the notifications that appear, and press the settings button to mute permanently muting notifications from a specific application. Microsoft even offers the ability to customize the number of notifications you see from apps.

There are several changes to the Start menu and taskbar elsewhere. You can now hover your mouse over the hamburger menu on the Start menu without having to click it, and you will also be able to add events to your calendar from the taskbar. Microsoft is also updating the File Explorer search feature. It's already powered by the same Windows search environment as the Start menu, so you can find files on your local computer or even cloud storage in OneDrive.

Microsoft is launching the November 2019 update for Windows 10 users today, and you can get it directly from the Windows update by going to Settings> Update and Security> Windows Update and check for updates.
