A Wisconsin teacher who insulted a student in videos posted online was reportedly released on administrative leave.
Two videos of the incident were posted on TikTok last week, showing a high school teacher Poynette screaming at a student who appears to have removed his mask from his nose and mouth.
According to a statement posted on Facebook by the Poynet school district, the incident occurred on May 11 at Poynet High School in Poynet, Wisconsin.

In response, the student says, “I know how people talk about me. I don’t care how people talk about me.”
The teacher then tells the student that he must “respect the other people in your life.”
When the student says he does, the teacher replies, “You’re not a big man on campus. Stop walking here like you have a stick in your ass.”
The student then explains that he is walking on the road because he is “just trying not to crush my shoes”. To which the teacher replies, “It’s not literal, mannequin.”

In the other video, the teacher continues to insult the student by saying, “People don’t like you. I don’t like you.”
When the student responds by saying, “A lot of people like me,” the teacher says, “They’re pretending.”
Then the student says, “Look at me in a few years, and then you’ll say, ‘Oh, hey, damn it, I was wrong about him.’
However, the teacher replied, “No, in a few years I know exactly where you will be, because people with your attitude do not go very far.”

After the videos were posted on social media – both on TikTok and on Twitter by Wisconsin radio host Vicky McKenna, the Poynette school district posted a statement saying the teacher – who was not identified – had been placed in administrative custody. vacation.
“The Poynet school district is aware of an incident that took place today, May 11, involving a teacher and a student at the Poynet high school,” said a statement signed by district administrator Matthew Chapelle. “The district is launching an investigation and the participating teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
