LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Wynn Resorts Las Vegas reports that there are 548 positive cases of COVID-19 among employees leading to and after rebuilding the property.

According to a news release from Wynn Resorts, the company is committed to being transparent with the results of its COVID-19 tests to inform guests and employees.
The updated results of testing a contact tracking program show that 15,051 employees were tested. Fifty-one showed a positive result before the opening of the resort on June 4. Another 497 cases were identified after the discovery. Wynn Resorts said it had a 3.6% positivity rate that was “well below the US average.”
“The company has continued to see a significant downward trend in virus levels since launching its multilateral pre-employment and surveillance testing programs. In fact, during the recent round of surveillance tests conducted on September 11, only one in 285 employees tested positive. “

The company said it has dedicated 10 full-time employees to tracking contacts for positive employees, and its findings show that 98% of employees became infected with the virus outside of work. The company continues to test 700 employees every two weeks to identify employees who may be asymptomatic.
More than 500,000 guests have stayed at the property since it opened. Wynn Resorts said there were six guests who scored positive. These guests or had symptoms, stated that they had possible exposure and were tested.
