Xbox Live services are currently interrupted. According to the Xbox Live status page, those trying to connect will find that they have limited access. The interruption happens on Xbox One, Xbox on Windows 10, Xbox 360 and Xbox on other devices – so just about anything can go into service. Support for Xbox on Twitter confirmed the problem.

The last update on the status page states that "Microsoft engineers and developers are actively continuing to solve the problem, causing some members to log in. on Xbox Live. tuned in and thank you for your patience. "
The interruption will undoubtedly be disturbing to those who have early access to Gears 5, whose main component is multiplayer mode. Alongside the main co-playable campaign, there is competitive multiplayer, Horde mode and the new Escape mode. There are, of course, many other games that rely on the Xbox Live network to function properly, most notably Fortnite.
Although Gears 5 is available to a select group of people now, it becomes widely available on September 10. In our Gears 5 Phil Hornshaw said it was "a return of those best elements of G ears of War, but "focused on the game to feel more adaptable to your specific game modes."
He went on: "Whether you want a campaign or cooperative, Competitive or Quickplay, there is an option in Gears 5 for you and a lot of things to reward you for spending time and your skills learned Gears 5 may suffer from some of the same missteps of storytelling as these precursors, and that may not go far.
