Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift released Lover earlier this year, an album in which her fans immediately fell in love. Today, National Public Radio released the Tino Desk concert of the pop artist, part of a mini-concert series hosted by the public radio station. Swift played a short, acoustic version of his songs in front of a crowded crowd at a small NPR office.
"Aunt, this is a lot of people in a small office!" Swift exclaimed as he adjusted. Taylor Swift delighted the audience with the Tiny Desk concert with new songs by Lover
"Tiny Desk is one of my favorite places on the Internet," Swift noted before singing. "It's an opportunity for artists to decide a different way to show their music."
Swift told the Tiny Desk crowd that he wanted to show them "what the songs sound like when they first wrote," which means that just a guitar or a piano will accompany her voice.
me, "the 29-year-old singer applauded, joking," no dancers. "
She started with three songs from her latest album: a feminist anthem called "The Man," followed by the title track of Lover and then, "Death By A Thousand Cuts." Swift delighted fans with this return to the album "Red"
While most of the songs in the concert came from her latest release, Taylor Swift made the Tiny Desk crowd grow when she brought it back to one of the older ones her songs from the 2012 album Red .
"I was trying to think of what songs to do about it," she said as she began her long explanation How did you choose this fourth and final ballad to close the little gig.
"I thought it was autumn," she said, which is her "favorite season."
"People on the Internet," she continued, "were kind enough to associate autumn with one of my albums, called Red … I guess it's just a lot like her autumn one album. ”
Taylor Swift continued to hint at which song on her fourth album she would sing until she finally revealed the name. "There was one single song on the album that I liked, 'I'm the only one who loves this song so much,'" she said. "But that's just because it happened to me and it was personal."
The fans were excited. Swift sang "All Too Good"
Swift finally revealed the song of the mystery, saying during the release of the album, she worried, "Nobody else will like" Too Good "as much as I do." As soon as Swift mentioned the title of the song, the audience burst into screams.
"Slowly but surely," she continued, "You guys have made this song something much more than I ever thought would be the life of this song." I just had so much fun … I was screaming at you. "
Swift revealed that the song was" probably my favorite song of Red . "But she's mostly excited that fans like her too; 'She's usually number one on any list' of her ranked songs.
'I figured I might play it for you,'" he said.
Playing the piano, Swift sang a gentle and emotional rendition of "All Too Well," and she was right: it was perfect for an October night like this. with fans of Taylor Swift
Swift told the story of how the song exploded at a Tiny Desk concert last week, but her fans needed some years to really appear on "All Too Well." She told Rolling Stone last month, "It took about three years for people to note that this was one of the best songs. I didn't see it start appears when people will talk about my music until about two or three years after the album has its moment. "
Taylor Swift also mentioned the song in an Instagram caption during her Reputation tour. She wrote that since the song was never released as a single, "it always blows up to me that it's consistently one of the strongest songs the crowd sings when I play it."
Maybe this has to do with the lyrics. , or ghostly beautiful chords. Whatever the reason, All Too Well has resonated with Swifties lately.
