Yesterday Vanity Fair published in-depth material on the creation of Zack Snyder’s Justice League which suggests that the interruption of the four-hour project will contain “a heroic cameo that will strike the minds of hard fans.”
Now the cameo has been discovered. If you want to come in fresh, come back now – there will be spoilers forward.
When I first saw Vanity Fair quote the tours, a small part of me wondered if the cameo could be J’onn J’onzz, the alien shape-shifting man known as The Martian Manhunter as played by the actor. Harry Lenix. The reason my mind immediately went there was that in the last week Lenix had openly talked about Snyder contacting him and asking him to come back for re-photos (more on that in a minute).
According to a report by io9, it turns out that yes, the Martian hunter is the new Zack Snyder Justice League a cameo that was advertised by Vanity Fair.
This boils down to a classic case of semantics: the phrase of the VF article seems to seem I guess that the cameo was a secret, but never explicitly said it was. Furthermore, I would assume that “hard-working fans” are the types of people who are constantly searching the Internet for details about Snyder Cut and would therefore already be aware of Lennix’s role. in this movie. Oh, good. Apologies to the fans who were hoping for something more shocking to the world.
In October 2019, Snyder revealed on social media that in her perfect cross-section, a scene between Martha Kent (Diane Lane) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams) would end with Martha moving away and changing her form into Martian Manhunter before turn into the form of General Swanwick of Harry Lenix, a character who appeared in Snyder’s 2013 film. Man of Steel. And just five days ago, Lennix was interviewed by Variety and talked about appearing in this new part of Justice League. Zack’s next call was, “Hey, when can you come in and shoot?” Said Lenix. “So it was great. I realized that this was possible, or at least Martian Manhunt would be in it when she revealed through the storyboard that Martha Kent was coming to visit Lois, and when she left, she was actually revealing Calvin Swanwick or the Martian. That’s how I knew about it. “
I was wondering if this was a version of the scene that hit the theatrical scene where Martha comes from the Daily Planet to visit Lois, but since this revelation by Martian Manhunt is supposed to be part of the end of the film, it’s probably a completely different creation.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuted on March 18,, 2021 on HBO Max.
